Phase 1: Evaluation & Treatment Recommendations
The Initial Evaluation takes place in your home and usually lasts about 3 hours. This is a time for Dr. Rachel to evaluate your child in their natural environment surrounded by siblings and family doing what comes naturally!
Treatment Recommendations will be presented to you by Dr. Rachel a few days later in her office during a 1-hour appointment. At that time she will review with you her findings from the evaluation and present her treatment plan that will include her anticipated number of treatment sessions.
Phase 2: Treatment
In this phase Dr. Rachel will work with you and your child in the comfort of your home to address the target symptoms discussed during the evaluation. Dr. Rachel will teach you valuable techniques that will help you take a better approach to difficult situations and greatly enhance your ability to parent your child. Dr. Rachel will work individually with your child to achieve the necessary changes in their behaviors. Dr. Rachel will work side-by-side with you and your child teaching and providing guidance every step of the way.
Each Treatment Session will occur with Dr. Rachel in your home and will last 2-3 hours.
Phase 3: Maintenance/Refresher
Like any good treatment, maintenance helps keep the results going. Some families like to have maintenance sessions every 3-6 months to keep their kids on track as they move through different developmental stages.
In addition for some children new circumstances such as a school change or the birth of a sibling can lead to a re-emergence of symptoms. At this time a little refresher from Dr. Rachel can head off problems before they take root.
All fees are to be paid in full at the time of service.
Many families will decide to purchase a group of sessions, as there is some financial benefit to this.
