Neurofeedback is also known as EEG Biofeedback, neurotherapy, or neurobiofeedback. It is a process of reading and analyzing brain waves. Brain waves can be measured by placing electrodes on a patient's scalp. When a patient is asked to do a particular activity (memory, math, relaxation) brain waves will change. During the evaluation a map can be made of each patients brain waves. The patient can then learn how to adjust their brain waves to be more functional and successful by learning how to train their brain to utilize specific brain wave patterns.
